Inasmuch as a marriage is fully agreed between Sir John Paston and my close relative Anne Haute, my wish is that you and all other of my servants and tenants understand that my lord my father and I must for the most natural reasons to him give our best help and favour in such matters as he is undertaking.Thus I heartily ask you to tke the trouble to come to Norwich with William Paston and to believe him in the matter of my intent about which he will tell you, and with certain persons with whom you should confer on the advice of the said William Paston; the matters concern the said Sir John Paston; asking you to attend to the matter as you would do one of my own.
